MLS/MT
The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) will perform and report tests of all complexity levels, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries; will interpret and correlate test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge, exhibit problem solving skills of a highly complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. The (MLS) may be required to perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties and will participate in research, development, education, and technical consultation. The (MLS) promotes Essentia Health's vision statement. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
MLT
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will perform and report tests of all complexity levels, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries. The MLT will exhibit problem solving skills of a complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, specimen processing, phlebotomy and customer service. The MLT promotes Essentia Health vision statement. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

Qualifications:
Education and/or years experience required:
Graduate of a four-year degree program in an accredited school of Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent discipline.
Licensure/Certifications required:
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA) or equivalent is required within one year from the date of hire.
Meets CLIA guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing.
Maintains licensure as per State requirement

An associate degree from an accredited institution, which includes courses in chemistry, biology, and medical laboratory techniques or CLIA equivalent.
Licensure/Certifications required:
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Technician (NCA) or equivalent is required within one year of hire.
Meets CLIA guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing.
Maintains licensure as per State requirement
